Spend an evening creating art through various media with internationally recognized Twin Cities artist, educator, and community activist, Ta-coumba Aiken. Through the power of art and narrative, Aiken will encourage dialogue about our similarities and differences and give insights to how we can celebrate them together.
The event will also highlight episode #220 of the MN Original series. Each participant will leave the event with a piece of art created during the event, a DVD copy of the episode featuring Aiken, and the corresponding set of educator guides.
Ta-coumba Tyrone Aiken is an internationally recognized artist, arts administrator, educator and community activist who focuses on public art and collaborative projects. He has taught in various schools all over the state of Minnesota as an Artist in Residence.
