Four hundred and thirty-nine consecutive batters for a baseball team went to the plate, and everyone of them walked — could this happen?
No, it could not. It’s not statistically possible, unless a member of the batting team was the umpire and calling the balls and strikes in favor of the batters.
Minneapolis Police Department — 439, citizens zero: final score, 439 to zero. The police pitch the shutout! Four hundred and thirty-nine complaint cases against the police and not one is seen as legitimate. Out of 439 random police complaints from throughout the entire city not one is legitimate.
How is it possible that the Minneapolis Police Department is able to defy the science of statistical possibilities? But that they do, and not many citizens seem to care.
If they would have said that 25 out of 439 were legit, I would still question the statistical probability of such a conclusion. But not a single one! We live in a “democracy,” yet the police are given the power and freedom to defy the science of statistics.
What does this tell us? It tells us many things:
1. Filing a complaint is useless.
2. You have no rights when dealing with police; 439 complaint cases dismissed proves that.
3. You are at the mercy of the police. They will do whatever they want to you, no one is policing them.
4. If you do file a complaint case against the police, you will automatically be seen as being dishonest, not truthful and you will not be taken seriously.
5. As if they didn’t have enough power already, now with this they have given themselves even more power.
