Gordon Parks Film Festival

Films featured include The Learning Tree, Leadbelly and Half Past Autumn: The Life & Works of Gordon Parks.

A screening of Shaft will feature the star of the film, actor/producer Richard Roundtree.

The Gordon Parks Centennial Celebration will be held Fri., Nov. 30, at the Minnesota History Center, 345 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul.

 “Black, Brown and Green: Abstracts and Environmental Portraits”

The 24-work exhibit features portraits from photographer Dudley Edmondson’s 2009 book, Black and Brown Faces in America’s Wild Places: African Americans Making Nature and the Environment a Part of Their Everyday Lives, as well as additional photographic abstracts and landscapes.

Exhibit hours are Mon.-Fri., 8:30 am — 5 pm.
