There were several outstanding performances during the second week of the prep football season. Here are nine worth mentioning.
JEFF JONES (Minneapolis Washburn) — The running back rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown in a 33-6 win over conference rival South.
JAMISON WHITING (Minneapolis Washburn) — The receiver had two touchdown receptions against South.
DARIN RICHARDSON (Minneapolis Southwest) — The quarterback passed for two scores in a 34-0 victory over St. Paul Johnson.
JAKOBI JACKSON (St. Paul Central) — The running back had touchdown runs of 47 and 45 yards leading to a 46-6 win over St. Paul Como Park.
BRICEON SCOTT-BURCH (Robbinsdale Cooper) — The quarterback had a 90-yard touchdown run in a 60-28 victory over North Branch.
ASHANTI PAYNE (Robbinsdale Cooper) — The running back scored twice against North Branch.
JOE DAVIS (Park Center) — The receiver caught two scoring passes in 19-6 victory over St. Francis.
BRIDGE TUSLER (Osseo) — The running back rushed for 104 yards while leading the Orioles past Maple Grove 26-20.
CHRIS WILLIAMS (DeLaSalle) — The running back led his team in rushing (254 yards) and receiving (50 yards), scoring three times in a 30-21 victory over Tri-Metro rival St. Anthony.
