Marjorie G. Tendle (Brown), age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. She is survived by her three children, Lydia Jeanne (Tendle) Roseby (George —deceased), William H. Tendle, Jr. “Butch” (Denise) and Terryll Keith Tendle (Tine); her brother, Isaiah Brown (Minnie); her sister, Ione E. Brown; nine grandchildren, Tony (Angie) and Greg Arnold, Shelli Roseby, Rebecca Frank (Gary), Anna Ross (Toby), and N’kateri (Lana), Asei, Dagne, and Zachary Tendle; 10 great grandchildren; a niece and seven nephews.
Marjorie served on numerous nonprofit boards and as a volunteer for elections, estate sales, East Side Neighborhood Services, Parent Teacher Organizations, Minnesota History Center, Minneapolis Public Schools, U-Meet-Us Seniors, AARP, the Honeybelles, Pilgrim Baptist Church Senior Usher Board, the Sabathani Red Hatters, the Birthday Club, Eastern Star, and the Senior Federation.
She loved to travel, read, teach (especially children) and spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Marjorie’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2 pm with a gathering one hour prior to the service, all at Nokomis Park Chapel, 1838 E. Minnehaha Pkwy., Minneapolis. Private inurnment at Oakland Cemetery.
