Paul Highland Park to a 67-63 victory over Minneapolis Roosevelt in the annual girls’ Twin City basketball championship.
Roosevelt got 24 points from do-it-all junior guard TYANEKA CAGE. She was supported by
teammates BRENDA BROWN and BREEVANA BRITTAIN, who chipped in 12 apiece. Highland Park led 32-23 at halftime before the Teddies stormed back in the final minutes to tie the game.
Nicks and BRIARA VIRNIG’s clutch freethrows sealed the victory for the Scots.
